Donate Your Old Crutches & Canes
Do you have a pair of crutches in your attic? Why leave them there while thousands of disabled Haitians, many of them newly disabled from injuries sustained from the January 20 earthquake, have none. The need is very great right now. Every pair of crutches, and every mobility device, will be put to good use if you will just bring them to the Crutch Collection Point nearest you. Our Crutch Collection Points are listed on the red right column.
Pay the Expense to Refurbish Your Used Crutches
Each pair of used crutches must be refurbished with a new underarm pads, hand grips and crutch tips.The cost is $5.00 per pair. If you can donate this amount with each pair of crutches, we will appreciate it very much.
Donations can be made in cash during our Kickoff Event at Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Broadway Square Mall on Saturday, March 13, from 10AM-2PM.
Otherwise, donations can be made online at MercyShips.org .
When donating online, you will have the option to donate "in honor of..." or "in memory of...". Please select either of these choices and enter Crutches Across Texas as the name.

Help Pay the Expense for Shipping to Haiti
Our initial goal is to collect, refurbish and ship 1,000 pairs of crutches by March 28. We are still in the process of finding the best method of shipping a container of crutches to Haiti, and we are making arrangements to distribute the crutches directly to those who need them. All of this will cost money above and beyond the money collected to refurbish crutches.
